Terms of Service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Avowgate (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Avowgate website, web app, API and agent tools (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, opening an access link, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you agree for that organization and confirm you have the authority to do so.
1. Who can use the Service
Avowgate is currently a private beta for people who build software. Access is by invitation. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. The read-only demo on our home page can be used without an account.
2. What the Service does, and what it does not
Avowgate keeps a list of requirements for your software, links tests to them, and shows a verdict based on the test results you or your tools report. We do not write, run or review your code. A passing verdict reflects only the tests and information that were reported. It does not mean your software is correct, secure or fit for any purpose, and decisions you make using it are yours.
3. Beta
The Service is in beta. It may change, be interrupted, or have limits applied to it, and we do not promise any level of availability or support. Please keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
4. Your account
- Confirm your email address, keep your password and access tokens secret, and do not share a login between people.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and your tokens, including actions taken by AI agents, scripts or other tools you connect to it.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account or a token has been misused.
5. Your content
“Your content” is the requirements, test names, results, notes and other material you or your tools put into the Service. You own it. You give us a limited permission to host, store, process and display it, only so that we can provide and secure the Service for you.
You are responsible for your content. Please do not put in passwords, access keys, regulated data, or personal data about other people that you have no right to share. We do not use your content to train AI models and we do not send it to AI services.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law or anyone’s rights; to attack, probe or overload the Service or anyone else’s systems; to get around limits or security; to upload malware; to scrape or resell the Service; or to impersonate someone. We may remove content and suspend access that breaks these rules.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. It is part of these terms.
8. Fees
There are no fees during the beta. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you in advance, and you can choose whether to continue.
9. Our rights
The Service, its software and its design belong to us. These terms do not give you any right to them except the right to use the Service as described here. If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without owing you anything.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the Service or others at risk, or if we end the beta, giving reasonable notice where we can. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) continue after your access ends.
11. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, and we disclaim all warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Your responsibility for claims
You will cover claims by third parties that arise from your content or from your use of the Service in breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your data.
15. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of the Service is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be waived. These terms are the whole agreement about the Service. If part of them is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization; you may not transfer yours without our consent.
